CHEF RAYMOND

 

Raymond (Mun Hoe) Yeong started his life's dream of creating beautiful food as a very young boy, opening his first restaurant in Malaysia at the age of 18 

 

Raymond then moved to Australia to further his dream of beautiful food and, while continuing his professional development, opened his first Australian restaurant in Newcastle in 2000

 

In 2008, he then accepted an invitation from Scone RSL to operate their Doncaster Bistro in the heart of Australia's Thoroughbred Horse Breeding Capital, and found immediate success due to the big menu, good service, consistency, and beautiful food

 

In July 2022, Raymond expanded his beautiful food dream by opening Everest by Chef Raymond at Muswellbrook RSL. Like Doncaster, Everest has indoor and outdoor dining, a la carte menus, and lunch specials and caters for all types of functions, on and off site

In October 2023, Chef Raymond opened Golden Rose at Tamworth Services Club to deliver beautiful food, lunch specials, and buffets to the community. And in March 2024, he opened The Shorts at North Tamworth Bowling Club to serve Aussie Grill cuisine at club prices to members and guests in support of the locals and the Club's transition through planned upgrades and additional restaurant services in 2025-27.
