Raymond (Mun Hoe) Yeong started his life's dream of creating beautiful food as a very young boy, later opening his first restaurant in Malaysia aged just 18 


Raymond then moved to Australia to further his dream of creating beautiful food.  And, while continuing professional development, opened his first Australian restaurant in Newcastle in 2000


Scone RSL later spotted Chef Raymond's talent and, 14 years ago, invited him to collaborate in their vision to deliver beautiful food from South East Asia and classic Club fare to their patrons and the Horse Capital's community and many visitors


Doncaster at Scone RSL was an immediate success embraced for the warm Club atmosphere and entertainment and the restaurant's big menu, good service, consistency and beautiful food


In July 2022, Raymond opened Chef Raymond at Muswellbrook RSL to expand his beautiful food dream in the Upper Hunter powerhouse - home of world class mines, wines, equines and bovines

Everest at Muswellbrook RSL has indoor and outdoor dining, lunch specials and a la carte menus. And caters for all types of functions, on and off site

In October 2023, Chef Raymond opened at Tamworth Services Club to deliver beautiful food, lunch specials, and buffets to the community, while the Club and Chef Raymond transition through planned upgrades toward additional restaurant services in 2025-26.  Find us on level 2
